Monte Comino is located in the Centovalli (1100-1250 meters above sea level), 15 km west of Locarno, on a sunny terrace facing southwest. Monte Comino is one of the most far stretching mountains of canton Ticino. It can be reached from 6 separate sides of the mountain with a modern cable car (2 cabins with 4 seats each). The valley station (departure point of the cable car) is located in Verdasio. The ride to the mountain station with the cable car takes around 7 minutes.
